Long working hours, economic uncertainty, isolation and environmental risks are some of the factors that can contribute to stress and mental health challenges for farmers.
This webinar will focus on recovery and prevention services that support farmers’ mental health across Europe. Bringing together experiences from several countries, the event will explore how mental health initiatives can be designed to effectively reach farmers and respond to their specific needs.
Farmers often face barriers to accessing support, including stigma, lack of tailored services, and the particular working patterns of agricultural life. Speakers will reflect on how programmes can be adapted to farmers as a distinct occupational group, ensuring that services are accessible, trusted and relevant to rural communities.
The webinar will conclude with an open Q&A session to facilitate a discussion between the speakers an the audience on the topic of mental health and support services for farmers in Europe.
